Join us tomorrow (Saturday, Sept. 11) @ 7pm in the Tipping Point at MNU. We'll explore the beginning of the story (Gen 1-2), and what it could mean for us living in God's big world. Please bring a mug for coffee.
STEWARDSHIP AND SIMPLICITY When we talked about being good stewards of the earth, our group's discussion led to the topic of consumerism. How much "Stuff" do we really need?
This summer, I learned about the "The "100 Thing Challenge" - a movement in which people kept only 100 personal items for one year. Without going into detail, this idea greatly helped me change my mindset about my purchases. More stuff = more complication and more consumption. Here are some articles that tell about people's experiences with this unique idea:

On another note, our group took this idea further. Can we simplify the way we consume our time too? What would these simplifications make room for in our lives?
